The colours were not assigned at random. A specific logic was followed in the guide:

Alaskan Blue (15-4225 TCX) — Staff in Clinical and Diagnostic Roles

Professional groups who deal directly with patients, such as physicians, nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, and psychologists. The light blue tone conveys a feeling of trust and calm.

Grasshopper (18-0332 TCX) — Support and Diagnostic Units

Pharmacists, lab technicians, radiology technicians, health officers. The grass-green tone distinguishes technical and support units.

Byzantium (19-3015 TCX) — Women's Health and Allied Staff

Midwives and allied health staff. The dark purple/maroon tone symbolizes sensitive and special areas (women's health, childbirth).

Patriot Blue (19-3923 TCX) — Administration and Emergency Response

Dentists, administrative staff, EMTs/paramedics. Dark navy represents authority and seriousness.
